Yard Traffic Coordinator

Working Days: 5.5 Days

Working Hours: Mon - Fri: 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM / Sat: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Location: 50 International Road (Nestle Singapore)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for controlling the movement of vehicles, trailers, and pedestrians within active traffic zones.

Traffic Control & Vehicle Movement:

• Direct incoming and outgoing trucks to designated entry/exit points.

• Guide drivers to assigned parking bays, loading docks, or staging areas.

• Manage vehicle queueing to minimise congestion within the premises.

• Ensure smooth and orderly traffic flow within the designated site.

• Provide clear hand signals or instructions to drivers for safe manoeuvring.

Safety Coordination:

• Ensure vehicles comply with traffic flow and site safety requirements.

• Ensure safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians within the premises.

• Observe and highlight traffic hazards (unsafe driving behaviour or blocked lanes).

• Escalate safety incidents or emergencies concerns to the relevant site controller (safety officer), where required.

Communication & Coordination:

• Communicate with drivers of the site traffic directions and movement flow.

• Coordinate with site representatives (warehouse staff, security, drivers) on traffic movement, where required.

• Coordinate dock availability for loading/unloading.

• Assist drivers who are unfamiliar with the site layout by providing general directions.

Monitoring of Traffic Conditions:

• Ensure vehicles park at the designated lanes, docks, and parking areas are organized.

• Check trailer positioning and alignment at docks from a traffic coordination perspective.

• Maintain general awareness of traffic conditions within the designated work area.

• Report traffic-related incidents or safety concerns to supervisors and relevant site representatives.
