The Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Management Representative is responsible for overseeing the implementation and maintenance, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements (e.g. MOM, WSHC, SSG, ISO standards), including adult educator management and courseware development.
This role bridges WSH governance, training quality assurance, and operational compliance within RTP.
Key Responsibilities
1. WSH Governance & Compliance
- Implement, maintain, and continuously improve the organisation's WSH Management System and in accordance ISO 29993 standard
- Ensure compliance with:
- Workplace Safety and Health Act Coucil
- Ministry of Manpower
- ISO standards
- SkillsFuture Singapore
- Plan and conduct internal nspections, and management reviews
- Maintain proper documentation for audit readiness and regulatory submissions
2. Adult Educator / Trainer Management
- Recruit of adult educators
- Ensure adult educator meet required certifications (e.g. ACLP/ACTA, domain qualifications)
- Monitor adult educators performance, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback
- Ensure adult educators adhere to:
Code of conduct
3. Courseware Development & Quality
- Develop, review, and update:
- Learner guides
- Trainer guides
- Assessment materials and tools
- Ensure courseware alignment with:
- WSQ competency standards
- Industry best practices and regulatory requirements
- Implement version control and maintain proper documentation for audits
- Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) to enhance course content and delivery
4. WSH Training & Briefing
- Conduct or support delivery of WSH-related training, briefings, and workshops
- Promote WSH awareness and safety culture within the organisation and training environment
- Ensure training facilities and practical areas comply with safety requirements
5. Risk Management & Incident Handling
- Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and non-compliances
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Monitor and report WSH performance indicators
6. Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including:
- Trainers and staff
- Learners and corporate clients
- Regulatory bodies (e.g. SSG, MOM)
- Handle feedback, complaints, and audit queries professionally
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Certifications
- ACTA / ACLP certification
- DACE / DDDLP certification
- Diploma or Degree in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Certified WSH Officer (WSHO) or equivalent
- Any other relevant certificates
Experience
- At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in:
- WSH management and compliance
- Training operations within RTP or education environment
- courseware development or adult educator management
- Experience in WSQ framework, SSG / MOM / WSHC / ISO audits, and funding requirements is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of WSH regulations and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with WSQ, SSG systems, and Training Management Systems (TMS)
- Good organisational and documentation skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple functions (adult educator management, compliance, training quality)
