Job Summary:
Responsible for managing workplace safety, health, and fire safety matters on the construction project site to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and project safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies, procedures, and safety management systems on site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor daily construction activities to ensure all workers follow safe work procedures and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, prepare incident reports, and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety training to promote safety awareness among site personnel.
- Carry out duties as the appointed Fire Safety Manager and ensure the implementation of fire safety management plans.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure fire hazards are properly identified and controlled.Ensure fire protection equipment such as fire extinguishers, fire alarms, and emergency exits are properly maintained and accessible.
- Organize and conduct fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises for all site personnel.
- Maintain safety and fire safety documentation, records, inspection reports, and regulatory submissions.Liaise with project management, subcontractors, consultants, and relevant authorities on WSH and fire safety matters.
- Support safety audits, inspections, and compliance checks to ensure the project meets regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the superior.
Requirements:
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM.
- Certified Fire Safety Manager.
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience in civil or construction projects.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and fire safety requirements.
