Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act, WSH (Construction) Regulations, and other statutory requirements in Singapore, in accordance with guidelines by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and National Environment Agency (NEA)
Develop, implement, and maintain the Site Safety and Health Plan (SHP) and Environmental Control Plan (ECP)
Conduct regular site inspections to identify safety hazards and environmental non-compliance (e.g. noise, dust, waste management, vector control), and ensure timely corrective actions
Review and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), and Permit-to-Work systems
Lead safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and environmental awareness briefings ensure all workers are properly trained and certified
Maintain proper documentation including safety records, environmental records, inspection reports, and statutory submissions prepare monthly WSH and environmental reports
Investigate accidents, incidents, and environmental breaches prepare reports and implement preventive and corrective measures
Work closely with Project Manager, subcontractors, consultants, and authorities to ensure effective coordination of WSH and environmental matters
Develop and implement Emergency Response Plan (ERP), conduct drills, and ensure emergency preparedness on site
Job Requirements
Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower
Certified Environmental Control Officer (ECO) recognised by the National Environment Agency
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry experience with main contractors will be an advantage
Strong knowledge of WSH Act, Risk Management Code of Practice, and Environmental Public Health requirements
Familiar with incident investigation, risk management, and environmental control measures
Able to work independently and handle emergency or high-pressure situations effectively
