Responsibilities
- Perform statutory Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) duties to ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for construction projects to identify hazards and implement mitigation measures
- Enforce safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment for employees and subcontractors
- Organize and deliver safety training programs tailored for company and subcontractor employees to enhance safety awareness and compliance
- Maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) controls and processes in alignment with company policies and government regulations
- Conduct regular site inspections and lead safety meetings to monitor and improve safety performance
- Investigate accidents thoroughly and prepare incident reports as required to prevent recurrence
- Promote Good Governance and Best Safety (GGBS) practices and support ISO-related activities to uphold quality and safety standards
Required competencies and certifications
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with a minimum of three years of site experience
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in MRT, tunnel, or highway construction projects
- Familiarity with ISO documentation and standards
- Ability to work independently with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
