Job Description

We are looking for a WSH Coordinator / WSH Officer with experience supporting construction activities within a Semiconductor Manufacturing environment. The role focuses on ensuring Workplace Safety & Health compliance for fab construction, retrofit, and tool installation works, while meeting both MOM regulations and client-specific EHS standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce WSH policies, procedures, and safety management systems for construction works within live semiconductor facilities

• Conduct risk assessments (RA), Job Safety Analyses (JSA), and Method Statement reviews for construction, M&E, and installation activities

• Perform daily site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox meetings for workers and contractors

• Ensure compliance with MOM WSH Act, subsidiary legislation, and semiconductor client EHS requirements

• Manage Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems including hot works, confined space, work-at-height, and lifting operations

• Oversee safety aspects related to cleanroom construction, tool hook-up, gas & chemical systems, and electrical works

• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts prepare reports and implement corrective / preventive actions

• Coordinate WSH training, inductions, and safety briefings for workers and subcontractors

• Liaise with main contractor, client EHS team, MOM officers, and consultants on safety matters

• Maintain proper WSH documentation, records, and statutory submissions

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, or related discipline

• MOM-registered WSH Officer or WSH Coordinator

• Proven experience in construction works within Semiconductor Manufacturing / Fab environments is mandatory

• Strong understanding of construction safety, including work-at-height, lifting operations, electrical safety, and confined spaces

• Familiar with Permit-to-Work systems and contractor safety management

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Able to work in live fab / cleanroom construction environments

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Advanced Certificate in WSH (Level B or higher)

• Experience in fab expansion projects, cleanroom construction, or tool installation projects

• Familiarity with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001

• Prior experience working with MNC semiconductor clients
