Responsibilities
- Lead safety assessments for the Permit-To-Work system to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Inspect work sites to identify and rectify unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices promptly
- Evaluate sub-contractors work to verify adherence to relevant statutory Acts and Regulations
- Collaborate with sub-contractors to coordinate and monitor safety-related activities and compliance
- Support the Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) in organizing safety awareness initiatives such as toolbox meetings, safety orientations, training sessions, and promotional activities
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for the issuance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Monitor supervisors and workers to ensure consistent compliance with safe work procedures
- Assist in investigating site incidents and accidents, analysing root causes, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Required competencies and certifications
- Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes
- Confined Space Assessor certificate
- Work at Height Assessor certificate
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in LTA projects
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with a positive attitude
- Proven leadership and organizational skills to manage safety tasks effectively
- Availability to join on short notice
