Workshop Supervisor

oversees daily manufacturing operations for leather goods and travel accessories. This role ensures production targets, quality metrics, and safety standards are consistently met while leading a team of craftsmen and machine operators.

Key Responsibilities

• Production Control: Coordinate daily workflows for cutting, stitching, assembly, and finishing. Monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery of product batches.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect raw materials (leather hides, hardware) and finished goods. Enforce strict standards to eliminate defects in stitching, alignment, and bonding.
• Team Supervision: Lead, train, and motivate workshop technicians and artisans. Manage shift schedules, evaluate performance, and resolve on-the-floor conflicts.
• Resource Optimization: Monitor material usage to minimize leather wastage and scrap. Track inventory levels for components like linings, zippers, and threads.
• Safety & Maintenance: Enforce Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. Ensure proper handling of cutting machinery, skiving tools, and heavy industrial sewing machines. Oversee routine equipment maintenance.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records of daily output, waste metrics, and equipment downtime. Report performance updates directly to the Factory Manager.
• Working hours 6 days includes week ends / public holidays
