Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Mechanic to join our workshop team and help keep our fleet operating safely and reliably.

Key Responsibilities

As a Workshop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our heavy vehicle fleet and logistics equipment.

Your responsibilities include:

Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of heavy vehicles and equipment.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical faults.
Carry out repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, braking, steering and suspension systems.
Service and repair prime movers, trailers, forklifts, cranes and other logistics equipment.
Conduct pre-delivery inspections and routine vehicle health checks.
Attend to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repair works when required.
Replace worn or damaged components using approved repair procedures.
Perform welding and basic fabrication works where necessary.
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
Ensure all work complies with company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Maintain workshop cleanliness and proper care of tools and equipment.
Work closely with operations to minimise fleet downtime and maximise asset availability.
Requirements

Preferred Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in heavy vehicle or commercial vehicle maintenance.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance programmes.
Able to read technical manuals and repair documentation.
Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a workshop environment.
Possess a valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence (Class 4 is an advantage).
