Job Summary
Oversee workshop operations by allocating vehicles, coordinating departments, and ensuring timely job completion with quality control. Collaborate with customer service and purchasing teams to meet customer expectations and manage warranty claims effectively.
Responsibilities
- Allocate vehicles efficiently to respective departments to optimize workflow
- Minimize vehicle idle time to enhance operational productivity
- Coordinate and manage operations across various departments with supervisors to ensure smooth processes
- Conduct daily operational briefings to align team objectives and priorities
- Report operational status and issues to the Operation Manager and General Manager
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure jobs are completed on time with quality control standards
- Work closely with the Customer Service Team to understand and meet customer expectations
- Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts
- Issue job cards through the system to track work progress
- Assign inventory to respective job cards to maintain accurate resource allocation
- Assist in vehicle test driving when required to verify repair quality
- Prepare and provide weekly operational reports to management
- Manage warranty claims to ensure customer satisfaction and compliance
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a Class 3 driving licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
- Possess at least 2 years of experience in automotive after-sales workshop operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of car repair processes to support operational decisions
- Basic Microsoft Excel skills to manage reports and data
- Demonstrate teamwork skills to collaborate effectively across departments
- Exhibit high responsibility to manage workshop operations reliably
