Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)
Salary: $5,000 - $6,000 per month (negotiable)
Location: Singapore (project-based, typically West Region) Office location is Tai seng
Work Arrangement: Site-based with local travel required occasional regional travel may be required
We are seeking a qualified Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to support safety operations across project sites in Singapore.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing safety policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong workplace safety culture. This role plays a key part in protecting personnel, assets, and the environment through effective risk management and safety practices.
Implement and enforce Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) policies and procedures at project sites.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and organisational safety standards.
Support and coordinate regulatory inspections and audits where required.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for site activities.
Ensure appropriate control measures are implemented for high-risk work.
Monitor site activities to ensure adherence to safety procedures.
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses.
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate incident records and reporting.
Perform regular safety inspections and audits across project sites.
Conduct safety training sessions including emergency response, fire safety, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support development, testing, and implementation of emergency response plans.
Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
Registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
Additional certifications in ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) or internal auditing will be an advantage.
Minimum 5 years of relevant WSH experience, preferably in industrial, construction, oil & gas, or petrochemical environments.
Good knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong risk assessment and incident investigation skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Ability to work independently in a site-based environment.
Willingness to travel across project sites and support regional projects when required.
This role requires working across multiple project sites in Singapore.
Local travel is required occasional overseas travel within the region may be necessary depending on project needs.
