Job Description
We are seeking a committed and proactive Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO) to lead workplace safety, health, and environmental initiatives across our project sites. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring statutory compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement in HSE performance. This role involves safety leadership, compliance monitoring, incident management, training coordination, and contractor oversight.
Key responsibilities
Lead and oversee Workplace Safety & Health activities at project sites
Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, client requirements, and company HSE policies
Advise management and project teams on WSH and environmental matters
Maintain and improve the Safety & Health Management System
Conduct regular safety inspections, walkabouts, and stand-down sessions
Review and update Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Work Instructions
Monitor site activities and implement corrective and preventive actions
Respond to workplace incidents and emergencies and lead incident investigations
Prepare monthly HSE and LTI reports and maintain accurate records
Manage HSE training programs and monitor subcontractor compliance with safety requirements
About you
Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Occupational Health or other relevant discipline
Registered WSHO with MOM (Candidates who are awaiting WSHO registration or intending to obtain WSHO registration are also encouraged to apply)
Strong leadership and people management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Strong crisis management and incident investigation skills
Adaptable and able to perform in a dynamic project environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office and related computer applications
Location: Bukom / Jurong Island and Other Project Sites
Working Hours: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
