Responsible for all Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) matters on the project site.
Develop, review, monitor and implement Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) procedures in accordance with approved company policies.
Implement and monitor the Permit-to-Work (PTW) system for all site activities, including issuance of Letters of Appointment (LOA) for all site employees.
Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and regulations.
Investigate incidents and accidents on site, prepare detailed reports, and recommend preventive and corrective measures.
Provide training and guidance to employees, contractors, and visitors on safety protocols and best practices.
Maintain comprehensive records related to WSH, including incident logs, inspection reports, and compliance documentation.
Oversee site security operations and coordinate with security personnel on all security-related duties and concerns.
Coordinating with CCTV suppliers and agents for the planning and implementation of CCTV systems on-site. Responsible for liaising with suppliers regarding maintenance and troubleshooting issues. Monitored CCTV systems regularly to ensure site safety and security.
Collaborate with the HR department to coordinate and manage company or project clinics and hospitals, ensuring efficient handling of workforce health-related matters.
Liaise with regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with applicable safety, health, and environmental legislation.
Attend meetings with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders, including internal coordination meetings with HQ, project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Prepare documentation and liaise with authorities for the application and renewal of Petroleum & Flammable Materials (P&FM) storage licenses.
Plan, prepare, and lead safety campaigns, promotions, and awareness events on-site.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of safety measures to the WSH Manager.
Organize, conduct briefing and prepare materials for Safety Committee Meetings, project safety meetings, daily toolbox briefings, and mass toolbox talks.
Assess site conditions and safety provisions prior to approving any Permit-to-Work for activities.
Assist in the preparation of Risk Assessments and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare submission documents for safety awards, including but not limited to the LTA ASAC Award, WSH SHARP Award, and ROSPA Award.
Lead the implementation of Behaviour-Based Safety (BBS) programs to enhance site safety culture, reduce non-compliance, and promote awareness.
Champion the Total WSH Programme by the WSH Council across the project site.
Ensure all duties are performed in accordance with CCCC's policies, procedures, systems, and reporting requirements.
Job Requirements
Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM
With at least 5 years of experience in LTA project, or similar scale, complexity and nature of work
Specialist Diploma in WSH and holding certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course and/or any Relevant Safety Certificates from any approved institutions will be preferred.
Possess knowledge and experience in related construction industry.
