Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

. Facilitates HSE risk assessment conducted by the line management and ensures all necessary preventive

measures against the identified hazards are implemented.

. Reports HSE incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and takes appropriate actions.

. Facilitates, assists, and provides guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks. . Provides feedback to the management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from within their

own unit and across project management.

. Supports the Site/HSE Manager in reporting progress with respect to the implementation of the project-level HSE

objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as required.

. Assists the line managers and supervisors in understanding their obligations, liabilities, and requirements for

role fulfillment, as per local HSE laws and project-specific requirements.

. Supports and drives behavioral change through the local implementation of project-specific

performance improvement programs and practices.

. Supports and embeds an exemplary health and safety culture with a strong focus on the environment across

their respective organization.

. Ensures that the appropriate HSE-related equipment and tools are available and used effectively.

. Contributes to and/or plans and executes HSE-related projects.

. Develops project objectives and reports the progress to management.

. HSE personnel refer to the Workplace Safety and Health Officer(s) (WSHO) registered with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and to the Environmental Control Officer(s) (ECO) registered with the National Environment Employer (NEA).

. Project Workplace Safety and Health Officers (WSHO) with at least eight (8) years experience in industrial buildings and process plant construction projects

. In addition to above duties and as prescribed in the Workplace Safety and Health (Construction) Regulations 2007 pertaining to Co-ordinators and Officers and National Environment Employer regulations for ECO's, the HSE personnel shall carry out the following:

a) Conduct safety observations and inspections

b) Record, collate and submit the safety observation reports, monthly site inspection reports, accident statistics reports and near-miss reports to the Employer

c) Provide the necessary safety training and or refresher courses to the full-time competent qualified supervi-sors.

d) Any other HSE matters required by Employer.
