Workplace Safety & Health Officer cum Environmental Control Officer (WSHO cum ECO)

Job Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor workplace safety and health policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Conduct risk assessments and carry out site inspections to identify hazards and recommend follow-up actions to remove hazards
• Review and improve current WSH programmes and safe work procedures, and provide training to site personnel to prevent incident occurrence
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Monitor environmental control measures, including waste disposal, vector control, and pollution prevention
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and represent the company in inspections and audits
• Collaborate with the project team to integrate safety and environmental considerations into all aspects of construction activities
• Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the construction industry
• Registered WSHO and certified as ECO
• Strong knowledge of workplace safety and health regulations, environmental legislation, and industry best practices
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
