Roles and Responsibilities
- Work as a safety assessor role for the Permit-To-Work (PTW) system
- Assist the WSHO in organizing safety awareness activities such as toolbox meetings, safety orientation, safety- related training, safety promotional activities, etc.
- Identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practice in the worksite
- Recommend and implement reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition/work practice
- Work with the site staff to eliminate and rectify any foreseeable risk and hazard in the work site.
- Carry out daily inspection and reports any unsafe practices or conditions immediately to the management.
- Monitor sub-contractor on their safety performance and compliance.
- Assist to investigate all site incidents/accidents & implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.
- Keeping record and documentation on the issuance of personal protection equipment(PPE), PTW, toolbox meeting, attendance, etc
- Enforces all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years working experience of WSHC. Experienced in pipe jacking or tunneling work will be advantage.
- Registered and qualified by Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health
- Competent to perform the function and duties of a WSHC
Possess following certificate:
a) Safety coordinators course from approved institutes
b) Work at height assessor
c) Confined space assessor
d) Confined space rescuer
e) Work at height assessor
f) Lifting supervisor
g) First Aider
