We are seeking a proactive WSH Coordinator to support workplace safety initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, conduct inspections and investigations, coordinate training, and promote a strong safety culture. The ideal candidate has knowledge of health and safety regulations, strong communication skills, and experience in risk assessment and incident management.
Key Responsibilities not limited to
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with local workplace safety regulations and company standards
- Conduct workplace inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain safety records, reports, permits, and documentation
- Coordinate employee safety orientation and ongoing training programs
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures
- Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate with supervisors and employees to improve workplace safety culture
- Participate in safety committee meetings and prepare reports
- Track corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely closure
- Assist with audits and regulatory inspections
- Promote health and wellness initiatives within the organization
Requirements
- Minimum O Level
- Minimum 3 years of experience in workplace health and safety, compliance, or related roles preferred
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety laws and regulations
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Attention to details and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to conduct investigations and prepare reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Good to Have
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B)
- First Aid / CPR certification
- OSHA or equivalent safety training certification
- Risk Assessment certification
Working Conditions
- Combination of office and on-site work environments
- May involve conducting inspections in warehouses, construction sites, manufacturing plants, or office facilities
- Occasional after-office-hour support during emergencies or audits
