Job Summary
Support the Safety Manager to ensure compliance with statutory safety, health, and environmental standards on construction projects. Conduct inspections, risk assessments, investigations, and coordinate with stakeholders to maintain a safe work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Safety Manager in managing safety, health, environmental, and welfare compliance to meet statutory and aerodrome safety standards
- Oversee health, safety, and environmental controls to ensure all work follows established procedures and instructions
- Coordinate with stakeholders, authorities, agencies, and consultants engaged by the Developer to facilitate safety compliance
- Prepare and submit daily situation reports documenting site safety status
- Execute risk assessments and enforce safe working procedures on-site to mitigate hazards
- Conduct daily health, safety, and environmental inspections, generate reports, and follow up with Project Safety Team and Contractors to close out issues
- Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, document findings accurately on relevant forms
- Wear required personal protective equipment and adhere strictly to all safety protocols
- Implement and monitor safety measures aligned with the Workplace Health and Safety Act and Safety Management System requirements
- Identify and recommend necessary training or certification to comply with legislation, Approved Codes of Practice, or H.S.E. guidance
Required competencies and certifications
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with MOM
- Experience developing and implementing a Risk Management Implementation Plan (bizSAFE Level 2) or equivalent
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, including at least 2 years with a developer or main contractor

- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM
