Workplace Safety and Health Coordinator (WSHC)

Responsibilities:

. Perform as a safety assessor role for the Permit-To-Work system

. Inspect and rectify any unsafe place of work and unsafe practices.

. Check sub-contractors work to ensure compliance with the relevant statutory Acts and Regulations.

. Liaison with sub-contractors with respect to safety work undertaken by them.

. Assist the WSHO in organizing safety awareness activities such as toolbox meetings, safety orientation, safety- related training, safety promotional activities, etc.

. Ensure that the issuance of personal protective equipment is properly recorded and documented.

. Ensure supervisors and workers are following safe work procedures compliance.

. Assist to investigate all site incidents/accidents & implement corrective measures to prevent a recurrence.

. Establishing emergency preparedness procedures in collaboration with Police, Emergency Response, Medical Services and interfacing contractors.

. Enforces all safety requirements and in-house safety rules and regulations.

Job Requirement

. Minimum 3 years relevant experience preferably in the LTA project/ building construction industry.

. Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes, Confined space, and Work at Height Assessor certificates

. Able to work independently with a positive attitude

. Possess good leadership and organizing abilities

. Able to join with short notice
