Job Summary
Carry out duties as specified by WSH Act.
Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of the EHS management system to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Conduct daily WSH inspections of machinery, equipment, plants, and installations to identify hazards and enforce safety controls.
- Act as Site EHS Assessor to verify hazardous works and ensure safe execution.
- Deliver EHS induction courses to new employees and contractors to promote safety awareness.
- Communicate Risk Assessments and Safe Work Procedures effectively to workers and subcontractors to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Identify workplace safety hazards and develop and implement control measures to mitigate risks.
- Prepare and submit monthly WSH reports, Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures, and Permit to Work documentation in accordance with Main Contractor requirements.
- Monitor and maintain accurate EHS records and checklists to support compliance and audit readiness.
- Facilitate and participate in Internal and External safety audits to ensure continuous improvement.
- Investigate and report all WSH incidents and near misses promptly to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Conduct WSH and related training sessions to enhance workforce safety competence.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Project Manager and Management to support project safety objectives.
Required competencies and certifications
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH or Safety Coordinator training course
- Risk management course
- Class 3 Driving License
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Demonstrate responsibility and a positive attitude in safety roles
- Exhibit teamwork skills and the ability to work independently
- Minimum 1 year of experience in WSH-related industry
- Proficient in MS Office applications
