Workplace Health and Safety Officer

Job Requirements:

You will report directly to the Vice President, and your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

You will be responsible for workplace safety and health (WSH) matters under the contract, such as introducing, developing, and strengthening WSH plans and programs (including documentation, work permits (PTW), meetings, ad-hoc inspections, training, WSH advocacy, and awareness building) to continuously improve WSH performance at all facilities requiring WSH.

Ensure personnel safety by complying with the WSH Act and other applicable regulations and/or WSH requirements in the contract.

Organize and conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and training courses for workers and subcontractors.

Work closely with the facility and/or project manager to provide guidance on all WSH issues and/or resolve any breaches and questions.

Organize and/or participate in WSH education programs, such as training, lectures, and other activities, to cultivate and maintain the interest of on-site staff in creating a safe and healthy work environment.

Capable of independently and professionally conducting joint or individual periodic Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) site inspections to ensure all site activities comply with Ministry of Manpower (MOM), National Environment Agency (NEA), and/or other relevant workplace regulations.

Maintain a continuous awareness of current and emerging technologies and professional areas relevant to this position.

Complete any ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.
