Role & Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include:

• Platform Strategy: Execute APAC virtualization strategy covering VMware, Hyper-V, VCF, and hybrid cloud, ensuring standardization and simplification.
• Architecture & Engineering: Own virtualization/hosting architecture, reference designs, engineering standards, HA/DR, performance, and security controls.
• Modernization: Lead VMware upgrades, VCF adoption, cloud integration, infrastructure modernization, and regional transformation initiatives.
• Automation & IaC: Drive automation-first operations using Ansible, PowerShell, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
• 24x7 Operations: Provide senior oversight for Windows/virtualization platforms, ensuring availability, capacity, patching, lifecycle management, and operational stability.
• SRE & Observability: Implement SRE practices including SLOs, SLAs, error budgets, resilience engineering, and observability through Dynatrace, Splunk, or equivalent tools.
• Security & Compliance: Ensure vulnerability remediation, patch compliance, privileged access management, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across APAC platforms.
• Regionalization: Drive workload migration and hosting consolidation, standardizing patching, monitoring, DR, and automation across APAC branches.
• Incident & Service Management: Act as senior escalation point for major incidents, coordinating infrastructure, application, network, security, cloud, and middleware teams.
• Stakeholder & Governance: Present platform health, risks, roadmap, capacity, and investment proposals to senior leadership/EXCO/SteerCo while maintaining alignment with enterprise architecture and risk governance.

Qualifications

• IT Infrastructure Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, preferably within large-scale enterprise environments.
• Banking & Financial Services: Strong experience in banking/financial services environments with a deep understanding of security, risk, audit, and regulatory compliance.
• Infrastructure Automation: Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure automation initiatives across complex technology landscapes.
• SRE & IaC: Expert-level (L2) knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and practices.
• Programming & Scripting: Advanced skills in Python, PowerShell, and JavaScript for automation, custom tooling, and system integration.
• API & DevOps: Strong understanding (L2) of API integrations, REST-based services, and DevOps tools supporting CI/CD and continuous delivery.
• Windows & Configuration: Deep expertise (L2) in Windows Server administration, MECM, and configuration/scripting formats such as JSON and YAML.
• Independent & Flexible: Self-driven professional capable of working independently with minimal supervision, while maintaining high quality and operational standards.

• Regional/Global Collaboration: Experience working with virtual, regional, and global technology teams, including stakeholders across different locations and time zones.

• Communication & Availability: Excellent written/verbal communication, willingness to work Singapore Time (SGT) including extended/weekend rotational shifts Bangalore-based candidates preferred, with Microsoft/infrastructure certifications considered an advantage.
