Welding Inspector

Responsibilities:

Review welding procedure specifications and inspection requirements prior to welding.

Supervise welding control and inspection during welding, check correct usage of welding parameters, pre heating and inter pass temperature as per welding procedure specifications.

Conduct piping or structural welding inspection as per required standards and project specifications.

Record welding inspection results and prepare inspection reports.

Troubleshoot welding defects and execute corrective actions.

Review material/weld traceability records.

Inspect material and welding consumables.

Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Possess relevant recognised certifications, AWS CWI or CSWIP or equivalent

Min 2 years experience in relevant job scope

Able to read and understand technical drawings

Experienced with welding inspection techniques

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)

Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to people of all levels
