Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and supervising the welding process and personal.
  • Ensuring safe work practices and maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ensuring welding personnel have the necessary tools and materials to perform their job.
  • Troubleshooting welding problems and equipment malfunctions.
  • Preparing welding reports, welding records and other documentation.
  • Supervising welding personnel in the set-up and operation of welding equipment.
  • Inspecting welds for quality and ensuring welds meet quality standards (e.g.: Welding KPI).
  • Maintaining and updating welding procedures and standards.
  • Developing and implementing welding training programs. (upgrading welder skills)
  • Able to understand welding process such as SMAW 6G GTAW 6G (CS, SS, Cuni, Duplex and Super Duplex)
  • Able to read ISO drawing.
  • Able to understand WPS and others welding procedure.
  • Able to lead and understand to check quality of welding.
  • Address complaints and recommend solutions.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree
  • Other courses related to welder and CSWIP.
  • Preferably 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, basic computer skills
  • The ability to communicate effectively with others, both in written and oral
  • Good understanding of welding procedure as per project welding requirement.

Location & Time:

  • Tuas (Pioneer Sector 1/Gul/Benoi/Tuas Boulevard)
  • Working Hours: Mon-Thur: 8am - 5.15pm, Fri: 8am - 4.30pm
  • (Transport provided at selected MRT stations)
