Job Description

Proposed Job Scope:

1. Welding Operations(MIG, TIG, ARC/Stick)

Perform welding on various metals (e.g. stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum) in flat, vertical, and overhead positions
Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to join metal components
Carry out repair works by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts
Perform tack welding to ensure proper alignment before final welding

2. Flame Cutting &Material Preparation

Cut metal sheets, plates, and pipes using oxy-acetylene or plasma cutting equipment
Preheat workpieces using hand torches to prevent cracking during welding
Use angle grinders, portable grinders, or chipping tools to remove excess weld, slag, or spatter
Prepare materials by cutting and beveling edges prior to welding

3. Layout, Fitting &Interpretation

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
Measure and mark materials using appropriate measuring tools (e.g. tape measure, square, calipers)
Assemble components and set up jigs or fixtures for fabrication and production

4. Equipment Maintenance& Quality Control

Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
Perform basic maintenance of welding and cutting equipment (e.g. torches, hoses, tips)
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
