Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Welder to perform high-quality welding works on metal components, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with specifications. The role involves working with various materials and welding techniques in a workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding method
- Assist in cutting, drilling, bending, and assembling metal component
- Operate fabrication machinery (e.g., cutting machines, press brake, grinders)
- Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication plans
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces before welding
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards
- Inspect finished welds for defects and carry out necessary corrections
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition
- Follow workplace safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times
- Support fabrication and assembly work when required
Requirements
- Proven experience as a welder in metal fabrication or construction industry
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Familiar with different metals (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium)
- Knowledge of welding safety standards and practices
- Physically fit and able to work in a workshop environment
