Wealth & Asset Manager Legal & Compliance Director

Our client is a CMS licensed wealth and asset manager that is looking to make a strategic hire in the legal & compliance team. This will be a critical role responsible for advising the business mainly on legal matters for fund management and assisting in expansion into the brokerage businesses.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

• Provide legal advisory to the business including fund formation and ongoing legal risks.
• Lead and coordinate the establishment of Singapore fund structures, including VCC funds, sub-funds, feeder funds, master-feeder structures, SPVs, and related investment holding structures.
• Review, draft, and negotiate fund-related legal documents

To be eligible for this role you will require:

• At least 3 years PQE in fund management, private funds, asset management, or related financial services.
• Candidates with hybrid legal and compliance experience in the related industry will be advantageous.
• Fluent in Chinese Mandarin as the role will require interaction with Chinese stakeholders and using it as the working language on a day-to-day basis.
