Job Description

Responsibilities

Supervise the daily operation and maintenance of water and wastewater treatment systems.
Monitor plant performance, water quality, chemical dosing and operating parameters.
Lead operators and technicians in routine plant inspection, maintenance and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot pumps, valves, piping, filters, treatment equipment and instrumentation.
Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs and contractor activities.
Ensure all work complies with safety procedures, environmental requirements and Permit-to-Work requirements.
Maintain operating records, chemical inventory, maintenance reports and plant documentation.
Identify operational problems and recommend improvements to plant performance and reliability.

Requirements

Diploma in Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
At least three years of relevant experience in water treatment, wastewater treatment, utilities or process plant operations.
Practical knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, chemical dosing systems and basic instrumentation.
Experience with systems such as wastewater treatment, RO, UF, filters, ion exchange or EDI will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of SCADA or HMI systems is preferred.
Able to supervise a small team and work independently.
Good troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong commitment to workplace safety and environmental compliance.
