The Role
You will be part of the core technical team supporting the waste management facilities, including the Integrated Waste Management Facility (IWMF) and Tuas South Incineration Plant (TSIP). Depending on deployment, your responsibilities may include:
Project Team (IWMF Construction)
- Assist engineers in supervising construction progress
- Coordinate with consultants and government agencies on facility design
- Ensure compliance with design specifications and statutory requirements
- Participate in testing and commissioning of equipment and systems
- Attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) locally and overseas
Operations & Maintenance Team (TSIP)
- Lead technical specialists and coordinate maintenance activities
- Implement preventive maintenance and overhaul programs
- Administer contracts for mechanical, EICA, and building services equipment
- Enforce safety protocols and supervise contractor work
- Develop and maintain SOPs and safety procedures
- Support initiatives for safety and operational excellence
- Perform shift work if required
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or Nitec in any Engineering discipline
- Diploma holders: Preferably 3 years of relevant experience
- Nitec holders: Preferably 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Professional certifications (e.g. Licensed Electrical Worker, Boiler Attendant, WSH Officer) are advantageous
- Strong technical and analytical skills knowledge of solid waste management is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office familiarity with Navisworks and Primavera P6 preferred
- Mature, independent, and a good team player
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to work in waste-to-energy facilities and perform rotating shift work
