Role Description

This leadership role focuses on modernizing warehouse operations through process redesign, automation, digital systems, and performance improvement. It combines supply chain operations, project delivery, technology implementation, cost optimization, and change management to create faster, smarter, and more scalable warehouse networks.

  • Warehouse Transformation Manager focuses on leading warehouse improvement projects, automation rollouts, KPI performance gains, and operational redesign
  • Warehouse Consultant focuses on assessing current warehouse operations, identifying gaps, and recommending best-practice transformation strategies
  • Warehouse Transformation Director leads enterprise or regional warehouse transformation strategy, multi-site modernization programs, and long-term operational excellence roadmaps
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluating current warehouse operations, layouts, workflows, and productivity levels
  • Leading warehouse automation projects such as conveyors, sortation, robotics, or AMRs
  • Implementing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and digital tools
  • Redesigning processes for inbound, picking, packing, outbound, and returns operations
  • Improving KPIs such as order accuracy, throughput, labor productivity, and fulfillment speed
  • Managing cost reduction, space utilization, and capacity planning initiatives
  • Leading multi-site transformation programs across warehouses or distribution centers
  • Coordinating with IT, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, and vendors
  • Driving Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs
  • Managing change adoption, training, and governance during transformation
Qualifications (Must-have)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
  • 7–15+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics, operations improvement, consulting, or transformation roles
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and fulfillment processes
  • Proven experience leading transformation or automation initiatives
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with focus on productivity and cost optimization
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments
  • Strong communication and change management capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with WMS platforms such as SAP EWM, Oracle Warehouse Management, Manhattan Associates WMS, or Blue Yonder WMS
  • Experience with automation providers and technologies such as Dematic, Swisslog, Honeywell, or autonomous mobile robotics vendors
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA or Oracle ERP
  • Strong skills in analytics tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or Excel modeling
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, FMCG, manufacturing, or 3PL logistics environments
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or industrial engineering methods
  • Experience leading regional/global warehouse transformation programs
  • APICS / ASCM certification or PMP is a plus
  • MBA or advanced operations qualification preferred
