Job Summary
Monitor and manage inventory and warehouse operations to ensure accurate stock levels, organized storage, and timely delivery of goods. Perform quality checks, handle loading and unloading, and maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. Report daily progress to the Director.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily inventory levels and report discrepancies between physical stock and computerized records to the director and his assistant.
- Communicate with the director/director assistant to initiate orders when inventory falls below required levels
- Perform quality checks on received goods and reject defective items to maintain product standards
- Receive and unload container loads from suppliers safely and efficiently
- Prepare and load goods onto lorries for daily deliveries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Organize and arrange goods within the warehouse to optimize space and accessibility
- Move and restructure warehouse inventory to accommodate new stock and maintain order
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and store, including assisting with closing duties
- Report daily work progress and any issues directly to the Director
- Handle heavy items such as cement packages, refrigerators, washers, and televisions safely and responsibly
- Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and prioritizing tasks
- Adhere to shift schedules including weekends and public holidays, demonstrating professionalism and maturity
- Continuously learn and improve performance to maintain sustainable good conduct and work quality
Required competencies and certifications
- Hold a valid Singapore Forklift licence
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Ability to report directly to the director is a basic requirement
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Experience in inventory control, warehouse management, and logistics operations
- Knowledge of supply chain processes and purchasing procedures
- Ability to perform quality checks and maintain organizational standards
