Warehouse Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven Warehouse Manager to oversee and manage all warehouse operations in line with the company's policies and strategic objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient warehouse operations, effective inventory control, strong team leadership, and compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Manage and oversee all warehouse activities in compliance with company policies and vision.

• Partner with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to manage receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.

• Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.

• Ensure adherence to all warehousing, handling, and safety requirements.

• Monitor stock movement trends and implement appropriate storage adjustments.

• Manage inventory control and reconcile physical stock with warehouse management systems.

• Lead and enforce warehouse security measures.

• Prepare annual budgets, operational reports, and statistics (e.g. IN/OUT status reports, dead stock reports).

• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies to ensure smooth operations.

• Lead, manage, and mentor the warehouse team.

• Implement timely corrective actions to address operational issues.

• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety standards and procedures.

• Improve warehouse design and process flow, including layout planning, product flow, storage, receiving, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.

• Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate manager.

Human Resources & Team Management

• Identify training needs and arrange appropriate training for the warehouse team.

• Communicate job expectations clearly to team members.

• Plan and manage rostering and scheduling for warehouse staff.

• Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

• Handle employee grievances and disciplinary matters professionally.

Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management.

• Strong leadership and people management skills.

• Good understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.

• Ability to work with 3PL providers and external stakeholders.

• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements.
