Job Summary
The Warehouse and Logistics Manager will support the daily operations of the Singapore Operations team by providing direct supervision of various Warehouse and logistics personnel, timely data analysis, process improvement recommendations / implementation plans, and project management as related to customer order fulfillment, load / capacity planning, material flow, receiving, and overall supply chain optimization. This person will be responsible for maintaining all technical systems and programs that the team uses, including implementing system changes as needed, auditing current team performance against industry standards, helping to create countermeasures to address gaps in team performance, and maintaining compliance on any changes to external requirements that may impact systems.
Long-term planning for the implementation of new technologies into current processes, in support of corporate goals, will also be part of this role. Cross functional collaboration with internal Production, Finished Goods Planning, Sales, and Customer Experience teams will be a requirement.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Establish safety as the highest priority for the team and ensure all key policies and procedures are in place and adhered to.
- Creation and execution of a rolling 1-, 3-, and 5-year plan for warehousing space requirements, equipment, systems, and personnel headcount planning.
- Direct management of our company's direct and indirect warehouses and warehousing partner(s), establishing and auditing against standardized KPI's and metrics. Implementing countermeasures as needed to address gaps in performance.
- Offer a high level of support for Procurement in continuing to expand the portfolio of inbound freight that is under our company's management.
- Support and participation in the Creation and execution of shared standards between our company's locations for both warehousing and Logistics.
- Full ownership of ensuring compliance to all regulatory transportation requirements of our company's hazardous goods program, including updating the program, auditing our company's performance against the standards, and working closely with the global logistics leadership team to address identified performance gaps.
- Provide analysis, justification, and implementation of new technology within daily operations, as needed to support continued growth and overall efficiency.
- Embrace Lean and lead the Warehouse and Logistics team in problem solving and continuous improvement efforts. Teach the process, support the team in their efforts, and lead individual teams.
- Analyze and improve current material flow and handling methods / processes.
- Maintain the export tariff program.
- Serve as the primary data gathering source (primarily executed via Boxi reports) for the Warehouse and Logistics team.
- Keep the team and warehouses in adherence to all GFSI (Food Safety) and EHS standards.
- Build good relationships with internal Production, Finished Goods Planning, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Experience teams.
- Implement inventory practices to maximize inventory efficiency, including accuracy, and days on hand while minimizing loss / obsolescence.
- Work in a team environment, sharing responsibilities and tasks with others as needed.
