Warehouse Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations

Assist in receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming goods against purchase orders.

Properly store materials and products in designated warehouse locations.

Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment based on customer or internal requirements.

Load and unload goods safely using the appropriate equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).

2. Inventory Management

Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.

Update inventory records using manual logs.

Identify and report discrepancies, damages, or shortages in stock.

3. Logistics & Coordination

Assist in coordinating with drivers and logistics teams for timely delivery of goods.

Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of shipments.

Support returns and exchanges by following company procedures.

4. Compliance & Safety

Follow all warehouse safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.

Adhere to company policies and regulatory standards related to warehouse operations.

5. Equipment Handling & Maintenance

Operate warehouse equipment safely and report any malfunctions.

Assist in routine maintenance and upkeep of warehouse tools and storage areas.

6. Work Environment:

Cold storage warehouse, temperatures as low as -18C.

Protective clothing and equipment (e.g., insulated gloves, jackets, boots) will be provided to ensure comfort and safety while working in cold conditions.

Requirements:

Secondary school education or a relevant certificate in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain.

At least 1 year of experience in warehouse or logistics operations.

Ability to lift and move heavy goods (if required).

Forklift certification (preferred but not required).

Strong teamwork and organizational skills.

Ability to work in extreme temperatures, down to -18C, while adhering to health and safety protocols.
