Warehouse Assistant - Outbound Operations (1 year contract)

Position Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Warehouse Assistant - Outbound Operations to join our Asia Pacific Distribution Centre (APDC) team in Singapore.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders of electronic components are accurately picked, packed, and dispatched on time. You will play an important part in maintaining inventory accuracy, meeting shipment deadlines, and ensuring compliance with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls, quality standards, and customer-specific requirements.

What You Will Be Doing

Order Picking & Packing

• Pick customer orders using RF scanners and system-generated pick lists, following First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and date-code requirements.
• Verify part numbers, manufacturers, quantities, date codes, lot numbers, and country of origin against customer orders.
• Count, split, and repack electronic components, including reels, trays, tubes, and loose parts, using appropriate counting equipment.
• Ensure all orders are packed accurately and completed within daily shipment cut-off times.

Product Handling & Quality Compliance

• Handle electronic components in accordance with ESD control procedures and product-handling requirements.
• Follow moisture-sensitive device (MSL) handling procedures, including the use of moisture barrier bags, desiccants, and humidity indicator cards.
• Ensure compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ISO 9001 quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Identify and report damaged goods, picking discrepancies, and other operational abnormalities promptly.

Shipping & Warehouse Operations

• Prepare and apply shipping labels, carton labels, and customer-specific identification labels.
• Ensure shipping documents, including packing lists and invoices, are accurate and complete.
• Perform real-time warehouse transactions, including pick confirmation and goods issue, using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM).
• Sort, consolidate, and stage completed shipments according to carriers and delivery routes.
• Support shipment handovers to carriers and ensure the required documentation is available.
• Assist with cycle counts, stock movements, and inventory accuracy activities.

Operational Excellence & Team Support

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working environment in accordance with 5S standards.
• Follow workplace safety procedures, including proper manual handling and equipment operation.
• Work collaboratively with warehouse colleagues to achieve daily productivity, accuracy, and shipment targets.
• Support other warehouse functions, including inbound and inventory operations, during peak periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary education (GCE N-Level / O-Level) or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in warehouse picking, packing, shipping, or logistics operations.
• Experience handling electronic components, semiconductor products, or high-value inventory is an advantage.
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is preferred.
• Experience with SAP EWM is an added advantage.
• WSQ certification in warehousing or logistics is advantageous.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong attention to detail, particularly when verifying part numbers, quantities, date codes, and shipping labels.
• Ability to follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality requirements consistently.
• Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet shipment deadlines without compromising accuracy.
• Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn warehouse systems and scanning equipment.
• Responsible and proactive approach to identifying and reporting operational discrepancies.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand basic English work instructions, safety notices, and warehouse documentation.
• Ability to recognize and accurately process supplier labels containing Chinese characters, where required for assigned warehouse tasks.

Working Conditions

• This position is offered on a 1-year contract.
• Shift work and overtime may be required based on operational needs.
• The role involves standing, walking, and handling cartons or goods as part of daily warehouse activities.
• Work is performed in an ESD-controlled environment, with appropriate ESD attire and footwear provided.
