Job Description
Job Summary
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations,including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods. The roleensures inventory accuracy, proper handling of materials, and timelyfulfillment of customer and production requirements while maintaining workplacesafety and housekeeping standards.
KeyResponsibilities
Receiving & Storage
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against delivery documents.
- Inspect goods for damage and report discrepancies.
- Label, store, and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to prevent damage or loss.
Inventory Management
- Perform stock counting and cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Update inventory records and warehouse transactions in the ERP or inventory system.
- Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of inventory shortages.
- Assist in stock reconciliation and inventory audits.
Picking, Packing & Dispatch
- Pick and pack materials according to work orders, sales orders, or delivery requirements.
- Prepare shipping documentation and arrange goods for dispatch.
- Ensure orders are accurately packed and delivered on time.
- Assist in loading and unloading goods safely.
Warehouse Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and compliance with 5S standards.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (where licensed).
- Support production by issuing materials according to operational requirements.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow workplace safety regulations and company procedures.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Comply with inventory control procedures and warehouse operating standards.
- Participate in safety meetings and warehouse inspections.
Job Requirements
Education
- Secondary School, NITEC, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse, logistics, or storekeeping experience preferred.
- Fresh candidates with a positive attitude and willingness to learn may be considered.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems is an advantage.
- Ability to use barcode scanners and basic warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications.

- Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting duties.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
