Responsibilities
- Partner closely with business continuity leads across business units to plan, facilitate, and assess BCM exercises, scenario simulations, and execution tests, ensuring operational readiness and continuous improvement in resilience capabilities.
- Lead and oversee the end-to-end BCM lifecycle, including Risk Analysis & Review, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), recovery strategy design, and recovery.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks within the Corporate Banking, Institutional Banking Group, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support to business units on operational risk management best practices.
- Lead, manage, and chair bi‑monthly governance forums, including the SG IBG Business and Control Committee (SG BCC), facilitating effective risk oversight, escalation, and decision‑making at senior management level.
- Lead investigations into risk events and significant incidents, ensuring timely root‑cause analysis, accurate reporting, and appropriate escalation to management and relevant governance bodies.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in operational risk management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to operational risk management.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate operational risks effectively.
- Proficient in data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills to communicate complex risk information to stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes.
- Ability to deliver results in a dynamic and challenging environment, with strong ability to multi-task yet detailed-oriented.
