Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Risk Reviews with business stakeholders, highlighting key risk and control issues and trends
- Design, implement, and conduct Quality Assurance Reviews on critical controls to ensure process effectiveness
- Champion and cultivate a robust risk culture across Global Financial Markets (GFM)
- Provide operational risk oversight and support for all GFM locations
- Develop, maintain, and effectively communicate operational risk documentation, including mandates, policies, standards, and process maps, within the unit
- Ensure rigorous implementation and compliance with operational risk policies and standards, escalating significant issues to unit management as required
- Drive the automation and digitalization of Risk Control monitoring and reporting processes
- Collaborate with business and support units to enhance processes and systems, supporting product and business requirements in sales, trading, new product development, and operational risk areas
- Initiate and implement improvements to front office processes to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of professional experience, preferably within a treasury environment
- Comprehensive understanding of treasury products and the associated operational risks within the treasury landscape
- Direct experience and knowledge of Global Markets businesses in areas such as Product Control, Middle Office Operations, and Risk is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also ensuring end-to-end execution
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels
- Sound organizational skills and a disciplined approach to planning and delivering against deadlines
