What will you do in the role
- Investment Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Global Infrastructure team to refine and enhance our infrastructure investment strategies and commitment targets. This includes working closely with the investment teams around the globe and the CIO on portfolio construction, investment strategy, , process enhancement and performance management and measurement
- Deal evaluation: Work with regional investment teams around the globe to support diligence, underwriting and develop an independent assessment of each investment for the CIO and the Investment Committee
- Strategic Sector and Technology Research: Conduct in-depth research to develop strategic insights into key sectors and monitor innovative and disruptive trends impacting infrastructure markets, particularly in areas such as the energy transition. Assess the implications of emerging technologies and market trends on the investment portfolio and execute strategic thematic investments in new business models
- Collaboration with Asset Allocation: Partner with the asset allocation team within GIC to determine the appropriate size for each private strategy, define risk guidelines, and influence the cost of capital and performance benchmarking
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in equity or credit investing, investment banking, or consulting
- A positive work attitude with high energy, drive, and initiative
- An ability to manage small, flexible teams to drive efficient delivery of tasks
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, demonstrating maturity and integrity in interactions with senior colleagues
- Well-developed skills in financial modeling, valuation, and research
- Excellent presentation and writing skills
