About The Role

The Vice President, Entertainment is accountable for the overall entertainment direction of the destination. This includes defining the entertainment strategy, developing new shows and experiences, and ensuring all performances and programs run safely, consistently, and to a high standard.

The role oversees all entertainment functions, from creative development and production through to technical operations, performers, costumes, and daily show delivery. You will work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to ensure entertainment supports the broader guest experience and commercial objectives of the resort.

Key Responsibilities

Entertainment Strategy & Direction

  • Set the overall entertainment vision and long-term roadmap for the destination.
  • Ensure entertainment offerings remain relevant, distinctive, and appealing to a broad audience.
  • Plan and introduce new shows, seasonal programs, and attraction-based entertainment.

Creative Development & Production

  • Lead the development of new entertainment concepts from idea through to live delivery.
  • Oversee producers, directors, and creative teams to ensure high quality and consistency.
  • Ensure productions are delivered on schedule, within budget, and at the expected standard.

Operations & Technical Delivery

  • Oversee entertainment technical teams covering lighting, audio, rigging, show control, and special effects.
  • Ensure all shows operate safely, reliably, and consistently day to day.
  • Put in place clear standards for show quality, maintenance, and technical readiness.

Talent & Performance Management

  • Lead casting, training, and development of performers and entertainment talent.
  • Set performance standards while ensuring performer wellbeing and professional development.
  • Oversee costume design, fabrication, and maintenance to ensure safety, comfort, and visual quality.

Brand, IP & Stakeholder Management

  • Work with brand partners, IP owners, and external creative partners where applicable.
  • Ensure entertainment aligns with brand guidelines, licensing requirements, and creative standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial, and guest experience teams.

Financial & Governance Oversight

  • Own the entertainment budget, including operating costs and capital expenditure.
  • Allocate resources effectively across development, production, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and risk management requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as entertainment, performing arts, event management, design, architecture, business, or similar. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
  • Around 15-20 years of experience in live entertainment, destination entertainment, attractions, large-scale events, or comparable environments.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing entertainment or experiential operations.
  • Strong experience leading creative development as well as live operational delivery.
  • Proven ability to manage large, multidisciplinary teams across creative, technical, and performance functions.
  • Experience managing significant budgets and balancing creative ambition with commercial and operational realities.
  • Comfortable working with external partners, licensors, or creative agencies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Able to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-profile environments.
