An established, expanding international bank is urgently looking for an VP/Director, Underwriting Risk Management in Singapore. This is an additional headcount. No WORK VISA SPONSORSHIP IS PROVIDED!
Job responsibilities :-
- Involved in reviewing and challenging underwriting transaction requests, works closely with credit approval team for decision making,
- Utilise and apply strong credit knowledge and transaction experience to assess credit and market risks of underwriting positions.
- Run credit origination, portfolio oversight, and ongoing risk management activities.
- Evaluate with deep analysis and view of the market conditions, and look at the weekly Mark to Market position updates of unsold exposures and business&apos strategies.
- Conducts analysis of underwriting portfolio and report it to the monthly regional committee participated by management.
- Reviewing new Structured Debt products and services, organizing discussions with various stakeholders including head office in Tokyo.
- Involved in rredit risk management planning, ensure regulatory compliance, and support in planning and enhancing underwriting risk frameworks in APAC, focusing on effective risk management and collaboration with other regions.
Job requirements : -
- Good degree or equivalent with experience in Financial Institution credit risk
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in banking (Corporate Banking, Global Markets, Investment Banking)
- Sound credit risk and market risk analysis, strong working knowledge in underwrting in banking is essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in written and spoken English
- Team player, takes ownership of work, meticulous, strong eye for details, able to work under tight timelines and comfortable with cross-border interactions
