Working for an established financial institution, this role leads the planning and provides structure, oversight, and financial stewardship so the function operates effectively and in line with strategic priorities. It partners with senior leaders and key stakeholders to drive efficiency, effectiveness, and highquality execution.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and run the planning cadence (annual plans, quarterly reviews, monthly performance) aligned to the function's strategy.
Coordinate crossfunctional inputs and produce executiveready materials that communicate progress, risks, and decisions required.
Financial Management & Stewardship
Manage cost recovery, spending discipline, and portfolio affordability.
Lead budgetting and provide variance analysis and actionable recommendations
Workforce management
Oversee resource planning, org structure alignment, and hiring requests/approvals.
Maintain accurate people data to support capacity planning and utilisation reporting.
Governance,Frameworks & Leadership Engagement
Build budgetplanning frameworks that standardise forecasts and enable robust walkthroughs with senior leaders.
Facilitate governance routines and ensure timely, highquality submissions.
Policy, Risk & Control
Strengthen process discipline and controls to reduce operational risk and improve audit readiness.
