Job Description

Job Purpose

DBS Private Banking offers a one-stop, full-service touchpoint for total banking requirements and provides the highest level of personalised banking. We have a team of dedicated, experienced product managers who identify opportunities in the various asset classes and generate the best strategies and product ideas to cater to each client's needs.

The Capital Markets Product Management team drives the development, commercialization, and management of investment products and solutions across Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Funds, IPOs, and other capital market offerings. Working closely with Relationship Managers (RMs), Investment Counsellors (ICs), Investment Solution Advisors, Operations, Technology, Risk, Legal & Compliance, the team is responsible for delivering innovative investment solutions, enhancing client experience, and improving operational scalability.

The candidate will play a key role in driving product innovation, digitization, commercialization, and platform enhancements across the Capital Markets business. The role focuses on end-to-end product lifecycle management, identifying market opportunities, enhancing client and front-office experience, and delivering scalable solutions through technology and process transformation.

This position requires strong product management capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work across multiple asset classes and functions to bring new ideas from concept to execution.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Product Development & Innovation

  • Drive the end-to-end development and enhancement of Capital Markets products and solutions across Equities, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Funds and IPOs.
  • Identify emerging market trends, client needs and competitive developments to shape future product strategy.
  • Evaluate and recommend new investment solutions, product features and client proposition enhancements.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments, business case development and commercialization planning for new initiatives.
  • Support product approval processes and governance requirements.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation, launch, post-launch review and ongoing optimization.
  • Monitor product performance, client adoption and revenue contribution.
  • Review product competitiveness and recommend enhancements to pricing, features, execution processes and client experience.
  • Support periodic product reviews to ensure continued relevance and regulatory compliance.

Digitization & Platform Transformation

  • Support digitization and automation initiatives to improve scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Technology teams to develop and enhance digital investment capabilities and client servicing tools.
  • Drive improvements in online product execution platforms, workflow automation and straight-through processing.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify client journeys and improve front-office productivity.

Commercialization & Business Enablement

  • Work closely with RMs and ICs to gather business requirements and identify client opportunities.
  • Develop product positioning, value propositions and commercialization strategies.
  • Produce product documentation, sales materials, training content and market updates.
  • Support product launches and awareness campaigns to drive adoption.

Counterparty & Vendor Management

  • Manage relationships with product issuers, investment banks, exchanges and other external partners.
  • Conduct due diligence and ongoing performance reviews of counterparties.
  • Coordinate negotiations relating to commercial agreements, operational processes and platform connectivity.
  • Monitor issuer/product availability and identify opportunities to enhance product offerings.

Business Management & Strategic Projects

  • Support strategic initiatives relating to business growth, productivity improvement and platform modernization.
  • Track business metrics, product performance, revenue trends and client adoption statistics.
  • Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations and Technology stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of initiatives.
  • Participate in regional and cross-functional projects to support business transformation objectives.

Governance, Risk & Controls

  • Ensure all product initiatives comply with regulatory, legal, risk and internal governance requirements.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews and control assessments where required.
  • Maintain strong governance over product approvals, documentation, disclosures and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related discipline.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Product Management, Product Development, Capital Markets, Investment Advisory, Structured Products, Fixed Income or Wealth Management.
  • Experience managing product launches, commercialization initiatives or digital transformation projects.
  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets products and wealth management solutions.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management and project management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to evaluate market opportunities, competitive positioning and business economics.
  • Knowledge of digital platforms, workflow automation and client servicing technology solutions is advantageous.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Effective communicator with ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with commercial acumen.
  • Self-driven and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration mindset with proven ability to work across business functions.
  • Good understanding of selling and regulatory requirements of investment products
  • Knowledge of risk management, credit, operations, finance, compliance and control
