Job Purpose

This new role provides portfolio advisory to clients, with a focus on Unit Trusts as building blocks in a client's investment portfolio. Key focus is RM engagement and upskilling. The individual will be required to attend client meetings together with the Treasures Relationship Managers (TRMs).

Responsibilities

  • Proactively engage RMs to drive the model fund portfolio approach. Conduct regular coaching, training, and product briefings to TRMs to raise the level of proficiency and technical expertise in UT positioning. Use existing bank portfolio tools in RM engagement
  • Deepen systematic conversion of in-franchise cash AUM into portfolio investment AUM
  • Contribute to the building and maintenance of in-house proprietary model portfolios made up of Unit Trusts
  • On a selective basis, attend client meetings with TRM to build customised multi-asset portfolio proposals for clients, based on client's risk profile and preferences. In these instances, conduct proactive monitoring of client portfolios, portfolio reviews and rebalancing
  • Perform regulated activities in full compliance with country policies, standards and guidelines as laid down by the Bank and country regulatory authorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Finance, Economics, Banking or a related discipline
  • Minimum 7 years relevant experience in Portfolio Advisory/Fund Management/Investment Advisory or related capacity
  • Deep investment knowledge of Unit Trusts and sound knowledge of banking and investment products and services
  • Great client relationship management and excellent presentation and training skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated and a team player
  • Analytical mind and sensitive to financial market trends
