Volunteer Engagement Executive (Macpherson / 5days)

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Engagement

• Develop volunteer role requirements and profiles based on programme needs.
• Prepare and maintain volunteer programme materials such as application forms and agreements.
• Recruit, screen, and interview potential volunteers to ensure suitable placements.
• Match volunteers skills, experiences, and interests with appropriate programmes and beneficiaries.
• Plan and conduct volunteer orientation, training, and engagement sessions.
• Maintain an updated volunteer database and training records.
• Organise volunteer appreciation and recognition events.
• Communicate volunteering opportunities promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate closely with the Eldercare team to align volunteer efforts with programme goals.
• Implement and uphold volunteer management policies and procedures.
• Provide administrative and operational support for the Eldercare department.

Event Support

• Assist in the planning and execution of key organisational events such as the anniversary dinner, Flag Day, and befriending programmes.
• Provide event logistics and coordination support to the team and Executive Director as needed.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in volunteer management, preferably in a Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO) or non-profit setting.
• Strong administrative and coordination skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in spoken and written English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking beneficiaries.
• Able to work independently, multi-task, and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Positive, adaptable, and passionate about community and eldercare work.
• Willing to support occasional charity events and weekend activities.
