A marketing agency is seeking a skilled Video Editor to produce high-performing ad creatives, with a focus on UGC-style content for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube. This part-time contract role involves working closely with creative and strategy teams to transform raw video assets into compelling, conversion-driven ads. The ideal candidate will be confident in editing for different formats, testing variations, and integrating engaging elements such as captions, transitions, and graphics to maximize viewer impact and ad performance.
Responsibilities
- Edit UGC-style ad creatives tailored for platforms including Meta, TikTok, and YouTube
- Collaborate with creative and strategy teams to shape raw content into high-performing ads
- Develop and test multiple hooks, edits, and variations to optimize conversion rates
- Adapt content across different formats and aspect ratios for platform-specific requirements
- Add captions, graphics, transitions, and effects to enhance clarity and engagement
- Apply direct-response marketing principles to edit content designed for results
- Ensure timely delivery of polished video assets while incorporating feedback from the team
Skills and Requirements
- Strong proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut, or similar tools
- Previous experience editing social media ads, preferably with knowledge of UGC-style creative approaches
- Understanding of direct-response marketing and how editing choices influence conversions
- Ability to handle iterative feedback and refine edits to achieve desired outcomes
- Portfolio demonstrating experience in ad or social video editing (UGC or performance-style ads preferred)
- Motion graphics capabilities and knowledge of ad analytics are advantageous
- Experience working with clients in education, coaching, or e-commerce is a plus
