We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented video editor. The ideal candidate possesses solid editing skills, can independently manage the full editing pipeline from rough cut to final output, and leverages AI tools to enhance both efficiency and quality.
Requirement: Only Singaporeans. Proficiency in Chinese and English because the video content is mainly in English and editing would need to create subtitles for English and Chinese.
Core responsibilities:
Video Editing & Post-Production
- Fine-cut raw footage: remove stutters, jump cuts, mispronunciations, and extended pauses.
- Handle background treatment: blur, replace, or mask inappropriate or distracting background elements.
- Eliminate ambient noise, microphone interference, and audio inconsistencies to ensure clean, balanced sound.
- When required, perform substantial structural re-editing and reorganization based on a thorough understanding of the content.
Subtitle Creation & Optimization
- Generate accurate subtitle files with precise timeline synchronization to spoken audio.
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to polish subtitle text, correcting grammar and improving fluency.
- Adapt subtitle formatting and style to platform-specific standards (YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of professional video editing experience
- Proficient in major editing software
- Familiar with audio processing tools and noise reduction techniques
- Able to communicate fluently in Chinese and/or English (one as working language, the other at a functional comprehension level is acceptable).
