Video Camera Operator

Job Description

We are looking for a competent and dedicated Video Camera Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling and a strong technical understanding of camera equipment and techniques. You will be responsible for capturing high-quality footage that aligns with the creative vision of each project.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate a range of video cameras and related equipment for various productions, both in-studio and on-location.
• Collaborate closely with directors, producers, and other team members to understand the project's vision and requirements.
• Frame shots and capture compelling footage, paying close attention to composition, lighting, and sound.
• Perform regular maintenance on camera equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
• Troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during a shoot.
• Contribute creative ideas for shot composition and camera movement.
• Prepare and test camera equipment before each shoot to ensure functionality.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Proven experience as a Video Camera Operator or in a similar role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your videography skills.
• In-depth technical knowledge of professional video cameras, lenses, and other related equipment.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and the ability to hold and operate camera equipment for extended periods.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing production environments.
• Relevant qualifications in film, media, or a related field are advantageous.
