Job Description

Department Overview:

International Wealth Management Technology division at Nomura Singapore supports the dynamic financial business through the development of strategic initiatives. IT partners with business to develop, implement and support sophisticated trading systems as well as middle and back-office systems through the user of state of art technology.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst / Project Manager (BA/PM) to lead and support the upgrade and transformation of digital banking channels, including internet and mobile banking platforms and client outputs. The role involves managing the full delivery lifecycle - from requirements definition through to implementation - ensuring enhanced user experience, robust functionality, and seamless integration across systems.

The candidate will act as the key interface between business users, technology teams, and vendors to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives and client expectations.

Role Description:

  • Business Analysis & Requirements Definition

o Conduct business requirement gathering sessions with product owners, key users, architecture.

o Document and maintain Functional Specifications (FSD), and User Stories.

o Perform as-is / to-be process analysis to identify pain points and optimization opportunities.

o Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive user journeys and interface enhancements.

o Ensure all requirements align with regulatory, security, and data privacy standards.

  • Solution Formulation & Delivery Support

o Collaborate with solution architects and technical leads to define scalable and secure digital banking solutions.

o Validate solution designs against business objectives and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles.

o Oversee SIT, UAT, and regression testing phases, ensuring test coverage and timely issue resolution.

o Support production deployment activities and ensure successful cutover and post-launch stabilization.

  • Asset Management

o Be the Nomura Application Owner to the assigned suite of applications:

o Complete mandatory attestation as and when needed.

o SPOC for responsible application regarding the following topics :

o Technology vulnerability and obsolescence remediation.

o Respond to IT Information Security query and questionnaire.

o Respond to IT Risk and Control query and questionnaire.

o Prioritization BoW (book of work)

o L3 Support to resolve BAU production issue

o Preparation of yearly CTB budget.

  • Vendor & Partner Management

o Engage with third-party vendors or system integrators involved in the digital platform delivery.

o Review technical deliverables, integration plans, and ensure adherence to agreed SLAs and specifications.

o Participate in vendor evaluations, RFP processes, and ensure contractual compliance.

o Manage multi-vendor dependencies across backend systems, middleware, frontend channels

Skills, experience, qualifications, and knowledge required:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager in Banking environments.
  • Proven experience in digital banking or channel upgrade projects (internet banking, mobile banking, client outputs like statements and advices).
  • Experience with wealth management banking processes, payments, and digital user journeys.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, and tools like JIRA, Confluence, and MS Project.
  • Familiarity with API integrations, authentication mechanisms, UX/UI principles, and core banking interfaces.
  • Demonstrated understanding of MAS, HKMA, and HK SFC technology risk management and cybersecurity policies, with the ability to apply relevant regulatory requirements in project delivery and system governance.
  • Experience working with Client Communication Management tools such as Assentis, and familiarity with core banking platforms such as Avaloq
