Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Reward agenda:
  • Strategically direct and deliver annual reward processes (eg. Benefits & Wellbeing programme, Reward Communications etc.)
  • In-depth analysis of statistics/ market trends to provide insights for action and help stakeholders/managers make better people decisions.
  • Collaborate with HR stakeholders (SG and APAC) to support business needs to ensure fair and consistent application of reward policies and guidelines.
  • Oversee benefit and wellbeing programmes including benefit benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and compliance with local regulations
  • Manage external vendor relationships to ensure optimal program delivery and value.
  • Reward Policy and Product Management:
  • Support Head of Reward, APAC in identifying and assessing the impact of policies on Group HR and APAC strategies.
  • Collaborate with and support country HR stakeholders in the delivery of country HR/regional reward initiatives
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of the soundness/competitiveness of existing policies and highlight areas of concern, if any.
  • Support the advocacy of consistent policies regionally.
  • Support the implementation of the Global Grading Project and job evaluation framework including:
  • Maintenance and enhancements
  • Promotion framework and process in consultation with Head of Compensation, APAC
  • Work with Head of Compensation, APAC:
  • In the design, implementation and maintenance of a compensation framework that is aligned to risk outcome and performance
  • To drive the pay for performance agenda – enable country HR and Singapore based HR business partners to embrace a high-performance culture, in line with SMBC values, and an aligned compensation framework.
  • Provide active support in the successful delivery of the annual pay review cycle.
  • Manage the regional global mobility programme, including assignment policy governance, cost modelling, and coordination with global mobility partners.
  • Provide support in the portfolio coverage of other reward team members who are away from office or other tasks as assigned by Head of Rewards, APAC, ensuring continuity and effectiveness in operations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in HR Management
  • Good working knowledge of labour regulations in APAC including Singapore.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience working in HR/Compensation and Benefits in a multinational company
  • Excellent proficiency of Microsoft Office application
  • Self starter & Results oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate verbally or in writing.
  • Good team player who is independent, proactive and innovative
